Here’s a peek at our home-away-from-home. It’s a Happy Camper 2 Ex. The Happy 2 is slightly larger than the Happy 1 and the Ex means that it’s an older model (manual shift and an older custom build out). We originally wanted the regular Happy 2, but no more were available for our dates. In fact, we had to fiddle with our vacation dates to match the dates this one was available. It’s mostly worked out OK, except the water tube and pump seemed to have some kind if debris in it and we decided to stop using the pump (the water itself was fine, and this wasn’t as big an issue as it sounds). We have water bottles, we aren’t cooking anything elaborate, and we can wash dishes at the campground sinks. Overall, we’re really happy with the van and the choice to travel through Iceland this way. It’s much more flexible and the campsite settings are truly stunning.
