Bullet journal:
Tasty breakfast at healthy restaurant Olivia. We had avocado toast with poached eggs, turmeric ginger wakeup shot, tea made with lemon peel, capuccino. We were heading to a recommended croissant place and found Olivia first and loved it.
Advisory call with Ana of Savvy Cat Realty. We hoped to learn about specific neighborhoods to visit now, which we covered some, but her discussion was more general, about pricing, energy ratings, and highlights of other areas of the country.
Visited Lidl grocery for breakfast supples and a dinner idea for a stew based on a bag of cut veggies labeled Portuguese soup mix – carrots, cabbage, leeks, scallions. I added orzo and white beans.
Visited Corte Inglese to check it out — 7 floors of shopping and food galleries. We looked for fragrance-free clothes detergent, but it is not too much of a thing here. Lots of ingredient lists include substances bad for my skin like limonene, linalool, geraniol. Later we found some good fragrance-free products at the mall in Benfica. It is interesting that the anchor store for most malls is a supermarket, usually on the ground floor or the basement.
Walked through the Gulbenkian garden. Much of it was under construction as they renovated their modern art gallery building. The garden was shady and instantly cooler, with designed water pools. There were rose-ringed parakeets! Close enough for pictures with phone cameras.
Made our dinner, did a load of laundry. The apartment has a washer! We decided to try out Netflix and watched another episode of the Another Life space drama. We’ll have to remember to remove our password when we leave.
