We slept in to recover from the long plane flight yesterday. In the late morning we took the local bus on an easy ride to Piazzale Roma, the main entry point for people arriving in Venice from the mainland.
In the afternoon, we took the public transit boat to the island of Burano, an hour’s ride to the farther reaches of the Venice lagoon. Shops displayed the local craft of lacemaking and the colorful buildings made charming photographs.
